For D&AD New Blood 2022, Shona and I met on Linkedin and teamed up to respond to the Netflix brief. Netflix wanted British consumers to engage more with non-English speaking movies and shows.
Our idea? A multicultural Netflix Food & Film Festival (NIFFF).
Set the scene. It’s a Friday night, you’ve just slung yourself on the sofa after getting home from work. The dog has sat on your lap, pinning you down. You’re not in the mood to cook – you haven’t even done the dishes from last night. Two decisions have to be made tonight: what to eat and what to watch. If you’re with your partner, discussing these topics will inevitably end in an argument. If you’re home alone, you’ll never come to a decision because you need the validation. NIFFF are here to take one decision off your hands. Sit back, relax, and let’s get this show (and takeaway) on the road.
